This weekend Australia’s top artistic roller skaters will compete in their National
Championships, held in Melbourne. The championships that start Sunday
September 25 will continue through next week and conclude on September 30.
Skating will take place at the Dandenong Netball Stadium, Dandenong
Showgrounds, Greaves Reserve.

Skaters from all over Australia will compete against others in their age divisions ranging from Tiny Tot to Senior International (where the top skaters will qualify to represent Australia at the World Championships in Brazil later this year).
I’m so excited to share this event live on We RollerSkate, courtesy of UStream. We’ve also snagged you a copy of the suggested schedule of events so you can keep up with the competition.
If you’ve never seen artistic skating before, this is a great opportunity to see some real talent, I would suggest watching the Junior and Senior International events as those are premier and the stakes are a bit higher for those athletes as they are vying for a spot on the World Team.
If you have younger children it would great for them to see the tiny tot and cadet divisions to see children their age competitively skating…who knows the next National Champion could be sitting in your living room right now!
Here’s a copy of the broadcasting schedule for the live streaming, keep in mind these are on Melbourne time, so adjust accordingly to your timezone.
