This weekend marks the climax of a year-long battle for the crowning of 2012 Women’s Flat Track Derby Champions aka Grits and Glory!
This year the Atlanta Rollergirls will be hosting the championships from November 2-4 at the Georgia World Congress Center in the same venue that hosted the Olympics in 1996.
After four regional Playoff Championships: East, West, North Central and South Central the top three leagues from each Playoff will meet in Atlanta for a tournament of queens that you won’t want to miss.

The Atlanta Rollergirls are proud to be the hosts of this year’s Championship tournament, as well as competing for the title themselves.
They have promised skaters, fans and supporters a time to be remembered with world-famous after parties, lovely November weather in the mid 60′s, authentic Southeastern live music, and of course the finest Southern Hospitality.
The action starts early on Friday November 2 and continues until early afternoon on Sunday Novemeber 4. Check out a detailed scheduled…remember times are Eastern.

With coverage that fits every budget, the Championship tournament will be available via pay-per-view. The Championships pay-per-view costs have been lowered by nearly half the rate of the 2011 tournaments, which is awesome! WFTDA.tv will also offer a free audio boutcast for all pay-per-view bouts and free on-demand archives following the events. All-inclusive 2012 Championships will be available for $20 for the weekend.
So this weekend, be sure your plans include a Roller Derby viewing party, no excuses, its being brought right into your own home…heck yeah! Best of luck to all leagues competing, there’s no question these women have trained extensively to get to this point and deserve our support.
